MedCFD Demo Version 1.0b Help
- Viewpoint Control
<< | \\ | >>
This program provides full 3D
visualization control including rotation, translation, and zooming object of
interest. Mouse usage is predicted, but you can also change your viewpoint
by keyboard.
1. Rotation
In order to enable the mouse rotation mode click
on the
toolbar, choose View->Rotate in the menu, or press "R" on the keyboard. The
rotation control, implemented here, simulates trackball device, so you can
spin 3D object in any direction. If you need more precise rotation, you can
use the keyboard to spin about a single specific axis. Keyboard commands can
be used even if you're not in the rotation mode.

2. Translation
You're entering the translation mode by clicking
on the
toolbar, choosing View->Pan in the menu, or pressing "A" on your keyboard.
Next mouse click in the client area of the window specifies the starting
point of translation vector, and the final one the ending point of that
vector. During this process, the control line can be seen.
3. Zooming options
This group of options includes following:
1) Zoom In (View->Zoom->In),
in the
toolbar, mouse wheel, or "+" on numpad.
2) Zoom Out (View->Zoom->Out),
in the
toolbar, mouse wheel, or "-" on numpad.
3) Zoom All (View->Zoom->All).
4) Zoom Window (View->Zoom->Window),
in the
toolbar, or "B" on keyboard.
5) Zoom Previous (View->Zoom->Previous) or
in the
toolbar.
Choose Zoom All if you
want to see entire object in your view port. Zoom Window enables
detailed closeup view of the selected rectangle area. Similar to the
translation described earlier, control rectangle can be seen during the
process. Zoom Previous undoes last zooming action.
