The project is based on Papilon - an up-to-date automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS) that complies with Interpol standards. Maximum flexibility of the system to specific national and language requirements is provided.
During its implementation the project has undergone the following stages:
Central system installation to maintain arrays of fingerprints available within the Republic of Tatarstan
One-time entry of a fingerprint card index numbering several hundred thousands of fingerprint cards
Deployment of the republican network of remote stations accessing the central array along with installation of inkless fingerprint scanning hardware and facial recognition equipment
Regional distributed ADIS is built in the republic. Possibility of entering data and maintaining personal files locally as well as verification of the data against the central array are provided.
