CyberDefender Technology
The CyberDefender Network™ provides two unique patent-pending technologies to protect both your PC and the Internet:
Together, these inventions have been implemented as a seamless adaptive network technology that provides all CyberDefender users with threat definitions to protect against new virus attacks in about an hour after discovery. This is estimated to be more than 10 times faster, on average, than conventional static networks.
Automated Detection
The CyberDefender software on your desktop is always on the lookout for anomalous behavior. When this is detected, CyberDefender reports it instantly to CyberDefender Threat Central for analysis.
Automated Analysis
Threat Central automatically tests and ranks the potential threat on a Universal Severity Scale™ and creates the required signature files automatically. Infectious threats (viruses) are analyzed, signature files created and uploaded to the Alert Server for immediate distribution via the secure, high-speed client-to-client relay network. Analysts become involved only to review threats that are not infectious, such as spyware; then these too are uploaded to the Alert Server and distributed to the network.
Universal Threat Management
Unlike conventional software that ranks and treats threats in "silos", CyberDefender provides a broad-spectrum threat definition system that is unique in the market today: it covers all types of threats:
Adware
Spyware
Malware
Phishing
Hijacking
Hacking
Viruses
The patent-pending Collaborative Internet Security Network™ (CISN™ ) is the only security network today that distributes via a secure client-to-client architecture. CISN goes well beyond bandwidth sharing networks, providing additional security as all communications are individually verified by CyberDefender servers, thus assuring the integrity of the network.
The Collaborative Internet Security Network thrives on size. The more clients, the faster threats are picked up, and the faster updates occur.
For this reason the company is widely distributing free resources like the CyberDefender Security Toolbar™ - which works as a part of the CyberDefender Network to help protect users against web- and email-based scams.
