Technology Process
In the CyberDefender Network™ every CyberDefender-protected PC monitors both the PC and the Internet to defend against a wide spectrum of software attacks.
- Every CyberDefender-protected computer is a listening post for threats, ensuring the widest-possible coverage against new threats.
- Every machine monitors and intercepts unknown threats and alerts CyberDefender's Threat Central™ automatically.
- The Threat Central expert system tests, grades, and ranks new threats against the Universal Severity Scale™ and automatically generates definition and signature files based on those threats.
- The CyberDefender Alert Server relays the new defenses over a secure high-speed client-to client network, starting with the original reporting machine.
- Each relaying computer uses local bandwidth, virtually eliminating the need for central network resources, allowing updates to be released immediately, rather than being delayed for scheduled updates.
- Elapsed time to inoculate against viruses, from detection to update, is reduced to about an hour, compared with up to 12 hours required by other solutions.
- One program covers all types of threats, compared to the traditional "silo" technology which requires a different program for each type of threat.
